What We Do
Cloud Desktop & VDI Solutions
Design, migration, deployment, and optimization for Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365, including FSLogix, host pools, images, scaling, identity, endpoint management, and operational architecture.
Cloud Infrastructure
Design, migration, and ongoing operation of Azure and AWS environments, including compute, storage, networking,
modernization, and backup and disaster recovery.
Identity, Security & Governance
Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, Defender, RBAC, security
baselines, and compliance-aware configuration for regulated environments.
Automation & Monitoring
PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Azure Automation, monitoring, alerting, reporting, and
operational workflow automation.
Who Cloud Desktops Are For
- Workforce access
Remote & Hybrid Teams
Provide employees with a consistent Windows workspace and access to business applications whether they work from home, the office, or another location.
- Temporary access
Contractors & Temporary Staff
Give project based, seasonal, and temporary users controlled access to applications and resources without building access around a permanently assigned PC.
- Endpoint flexibility
BYOD Environments
Deliver a centrally managed Windows workspace to users connecting from personal or unmanaged devices while keeping identity and access controls under organizational policy.
- Education and training
Schools & Training Programs
Extend access to Windows applications and lab environments beyond the classroom or training room for K-12 students, staff, and workforce training programs.
- Geographic distribution
Distributed & International Teams
Support users across locations and regions while accounting for performance, identity, application access, data location, and governance requirements.
- Application delivery
Specialized Application Access
Provide centralized access to Windows applications or controlled workspaces when installing and maintaining the full application stack on every endpoint is impractical.

Hardware is annualized over its replacement cycle. This is an undiscounted planning model, not a cash-flow or ROI forecast. Staff capacity value is shown separately from allocated non-labor costs. Faster user access is not monetized or added to these totals.
Sources & how we calculate
Microsoft-commissioned projected study. Contractor BYOPC model: 4 hours to provision, 2 hours of annual device maintenance and 4 hours to recover a departing user’s device. Modeled reduction across those tasks: 75–95%; this example starts at 75%.
Its onboarding model uses a 4-day wait and 75–85% reduction; this example starts at 75%. A 500-contractor composite underlies the lifecycle model. These benchmarks do not describe all IT work or all companies.
Microsoft-commissioned study of migration from on-premises VDI. Composite assumptions: 50% less effort for selected deployment, security and support work; 75% less user onboarding wait from a 4-hour baseline.
These figures apply only to the existing-VDI example. Our visitor-scaled arithmetic is not Forrester’s financial model or a predicted customer outcome.
Windows 365 Enterprise: $41 per user/month for 2 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Checked September 25, 2026; taxes excluded. This is one configuration, not a quote or a workload-sizing recommendation.
Required Windows, Intune and Entra licensing ↗ must be held or added. The example assumes existing qualifying licenses on both sides; enter any additional cost.
Company-PC time improvements, IT hourly rate, cloud operations effort, device budgets/cycles, shipping, implementation and AVD run rate are planning inputs—not measured CloudVTX outcomes. AVD pricing requires workload and usage sizing.
Assumptions can be set to zero improvement or higher cloud costs. No savings floor is applied. Common application licensing, connectivity and peripherals are treated as equal unless you enter a difference.
Quick-view assumptions: annual starters and leavers each equal 24% of the selected users; additional cloud IT effort is 0.06 hours per user per month. The example applies the study’s 75% task reduction to its device-lifecycle inputs. Linear scaling, turnover and added cloud work are scenario assumptions, not measured relationships. Open Adjust assumptions to change them.
Time: current task hours × (1 − assumed reduction) + additional cloud operations hours. Contractor task hours = users × annual maintenance + annual starters × setup + annual leavers × recovery. Other scenarios use the entered monthly workload. Per-user wait is elapsed working time; it is not IT labor.
Cost: endpoint budget + platform/services + additional licenses + shipping/other costs, multiplied by 3 years, plus one-time implementation. IT hours × hourly rate × 3 is a separate capacity valuation. The capacity-value card applies the chosen redeployment factor to net hours freed; allocated labor costs use all modeled work hours. This differs from the study financial model. Staff-time value is not payroll savings. Keep inputs mutually exclusive to avoid counting administration or licensing twice.
All sources and example inputs reviewed September 25, 2026. Examples require a functioning, configured cloud environment and a suitable endpoint and connection. Initial migration is separate from routine onboarding. Outcomes vary with applications, current automation and operating model.
CloudVTX can validate your users, applications, costs and operating model.
